A Wonderful Day

Wow, I just noticed, I didn't post in this blog for over two months. Shame on me.
Where was I? I guess I was too busy, I totally forgot about it.

On Sunday, Feb 1st, will be the 6 years for the crush of the Columbia and the crew, one of them was Ilan Ramon, the first Israeli astronaut.

Today we had a special day, Astronomy and Space Day in memory of Ilan Ramon. A few top in their class students were chosen to participate in this day, take part in workshops and some great lectures.

The first lecture was about the next generation in space and "privet" tours to space, mixed with some special effects, fire and demonstrations. The only thing that was missing was zero gravity.

The last lecture was by Dr. Smith L. Johnston, a NASA doctor, who work with the astronauts and Ilan Ramon too. He was talking about medicine in space, how the gravity affects us, how small injuries can get out of proportion when in space and more.

The auditorium was decorated with Helium balloons shaped like stars and little astronauts.

Amazing day!
